    Hi Ashtyn! It looks like your tentative source list is well done. You have 10 and 8 of them are from PTW Journals, so you meet the 80% requirement. Good work! I am excited to see how the rest of your research process goes.

    I think that some topics that might emerge are mental health related around social media, and the general distrust of social media as well as the overwhelming trust from some people relating to social media.

    Hi Ashtyn,

    Looks like you had a good start on your sources, so far. I know you'll be distilling more of your topic interest as you plow through and annotate the sources that you've found. At this point, I think the PTW-specific sources thrown into the mix (c/o source list on Canvas) will eventually direct your investigation more towards the lens of PTW. Remember that the sources in the Lit. Review do not need to be directly the same research focus as yours -- as you annotate them, you'll surely find the ones to keep. If you then noticed that nobody seems to have done the same research focus that you plan, that's the gap where you can come in and contribute to the field. :)

    After the Annotated Bib or Lit. Review is done, maybe we can set a quick appointment to brainstorm ideas for your Research Proposal and make the research design more beneficial and applicable to practitioners/scholars within our field. (As always, feel free to set an appt. with me anytime if you need help -- am here).

I also learned the importance of ensuring the study is ethical and in line with IRB standards if necessary. Analyzing the data and choosing valid and reliable information is incredibly important and can strengthen the credibility and reliability of the research findings. 2.  Hello! As I was reading the studies for my paper I found a gap in information relating to emerging social media. Facebook and Twitter were the most mentioned as they are already cemented social media platforms however the growth of different platforms like TikTok and Threads, can result in new information. Newer platforms operate with different algorithms, content formats, and user demographics, which may influence political communication in unique ways. Understanding how these newer platforms compare to both traditional media and older social media in shaping voter attitudes, behaviors, and engagement is crucial, especially as their popularity continues to rise among younger voters.

Hello, this is my fourth blog about revisions. Through revisions, I will explore the validity and relevance of the information presented on various social media platforms. While major news outlets like CNN or The New York Times tend to be accepted as credible sources, we often view others, like TMZ or certain social media accounts, with skepticism. This difference in perception highlights how important it is to evaluate where our information comes from and why some sources are more trusted than others. I will also include the feedback from Dr. B in the revisions.
